learning from experience

Case Studies

M&S, Liverpool

DSR were engaged to carry out some urgent survey work due to a piece of falling masonry initially. This turned out to be a full restoration project to the main elevations where we carried out stone indents, restoration and sympathetic cleaning of the façade. When completed it was difficult to point out where any repairs had been carried out. – As it should be with restoration projects like this.

Church of Ascension, Salford

DSR were initially interviewed for the appointment of masonry contractor in charge of returning the elevations to their former glory. From measuring the large tracery windows, finials and internal columns through to installation our skills and experience were put to good use. We were very proud to be able to play a part in the restoration of this historic local landmark.

New Little Mill, Ancoats

DSR were engaged to carry out repairs to failed internal concrete lintels. Working closely with the structural engineer we arranged for a suitable specification to be provided to carry out the repairs. We also carried out the structural alterations to the external elevations plus stone repairs, replacement and general cleaning and restoration works.
