Project Brief
Dale Structural Repairs were introduced to this project to provide a cost effective solution to a large quantity of defective ‘cast in situ’ beams that were encased in a permanent shuttering know as wood wool or strammit board. Honeycombing was present in various locations and a remedy was required for the project’s feasibility to stay on track.
Solutions
Dale Structural Repairs were invited to tender for the removal of all strammit board and to carry out the necessary Concrete Repair works. Sika were invited on board to provide a project specific specification to deal with the defects.
Outcome
The project was supervised by building control, sika and also overlooked by supporting structural engineers. All works were completed within 12 week programme, on time and on budget.
